This name was gathered as part of a local research project on the place-names of Strath, Isle of Skye and was published in a booklet by SNH and AÀA. The Following quote appears in that booklet:
“Somewhere round Strollamus is a well called Tobar na Cloinne, that is, ‘the well of the children’. It is said that a woman who goes there and repeats the following words will become the mother of twins:
Uisg’ an Easain air mo dhosan
Tog dhiom do rosad
’S aoigh fir an cabhaig orm,
Water of the little falls on my forelock
Lift me from your curse
and speed a male visitor to me.”
