Sources

Skur Cherrin 1747-55 Roy [map not detailed enough here to show if this is Mullach nan Coirean or Meall a’ Chaorainn

Maolath Sgur churin 1832 Thomson [‘Maolath’ and ‘Sgur churin’ are separated and could potentially be separate features’ ]

“Sgùrr-a’ -Chaorainn an Lochabar”. Rev. J. MacDougall, Folk Tales and Fairy Lore in Gaelic and English, 1910, 295 [the story says this is by Blàr a’ Chaorainn]

“No one hereabouts knows the name Mullach nan Coirean and it is always called Sgurr a’ Chaorruinn. The name fits Mullach nan Coirean to a T. When ascending and when at the top I suspected and still suspect that the sgurr on the other side of Allt Coire a’ Mhuillin is the real top. It certainly looks higher and did so from down below too. Can it be the top and the real Sgurr a’ Chaorruinn; and Mullach nan Coirean simply a central top without a name?”: Ronald burn diary

Additional Information

Munro M236, 939m

Blàr and Meall a’ Chaorainn are nearby.

Drummond says this ‘mullach’ would be an exception topographically.
