Additional Information
MacLean says that Holm is in Gaelic ‘an Tolm’. MacLean also gives the genitive of Tolm as Tuilm in the Gaelic form for the Laird of Holm and Holm Burn which are Fear an Tuilm and Allt an Tuilm respectively. Informant HB says for the form stated above, he had seen it written but not spoken. There is no direct evidence for this form, however.
