“Craig… G. a’ Chreag, the Rock, with it goes Duncraig, the old name of which was am Fasadh, the dwelling, otherwise am Fasadh àluinn, the lovely dwelling.” Watson 1904, 185.

“The Gaelic name for Duncraig Castle at Plockton, or, strictly speaking, for the spot on which the castle stands, the castle being quite modern, is Am Fasag, sometimes am Fasag aluinn, the lovely residence.” Robertson, letter to the Highland Times

“Craig, Duncraig from G. Creag, hill…. The latter name [i.e. Duncraig] is unknown to the present writer.” MacBain 1901, 58.
