“Dulsie on Findhorn, in Nairnshire, is in Gaelic Dulasaidh, for Dulfhasaidh; Dulsie Bridge is Drochaid Dhulfhasaidh. This is a compound of dul and fasadh, ‘a stance.’ The fasadh is the site of the present farmstead; immediately behind it the ground dips steeply down to a little meadow enclosed on three sides by high steep banks whose tops are on a level With the farmstead, and on the fourth by the Findhorn. This meadow is the dul, now called ‘the Little Haugh.’ Dulsie means ‘haugh-stance’. Watson 1926, 416
