This name was gathered as part of a local research project on the place-names of the Rough Bounds of Lochaber and was published in a booklet by SNH and AÀA. The Following quote appears in that booklet:
“Directly below are the ruins of the scattered township of Doire na Drise, another of the little farms of Rhu. It is recorded that there was at least one clearance from Doire na Drise in 1843, as part of that large clearance from the Rhu area by Lord Cranstoun, when fie tenants were removed.”
