“In 1377 Inverardran appears as Inverhardgowrane. Here g stands for dh exactly as in Durgour above, with which allowance we have an excellent phonetic spelling of Inbhir Arddhobhrain, Inver of the high streamlet.”: Watson Topographical Varia v, 365
Inbhir Ardrain (I. aurdrain): Robertson [elsewhere the same informant gives Aurd choille for Ardchyle, i.e. aurd is for unstressed àrd.]
