Additional Information
The Gaelic name of this cape is am Parbh. By the Lewis people it is called an Carbh. All these forms, Parbh, Carbh and Wrath, have originated from the Norse name Hvarf, which means turning-point, and is cognate with the English word “wharf.”: Charles M. Robertson in The Highland News August 11 1900
