This name was gathered as part of a local research project on the place-names of the Rough Bounds of Lochaber and was published in a booklet by SNH and AÀA. The Following quote appears in that booklet:
“The gamekeeper’s house was up above the bay on Loch Nan Uamh and was called Bàgh a’ Gheamair. When the railway was built through the area in the 1900s, the track was put right through the walls of the house. There is still part of the house remaining with the railway running right through it.”
